Post-Production -Polishing Your Audio for Perfection

Sound Designing

  • Our sound design process for film and video involves a detailed breakdown of the on-screen action and desired emotional tone. We utilize Pro Tools, a comprehensive sound effects library, and specialized software like Native Instruments Komplete and various granular synthesis tools to create bespoke sonic elements. We pay close attention to layering, frequency content, and spatial placement to enhance the narrative and immerse the audience.

Mixing

  • For post-production mixing, our goal is to create a clear and engaging audio landscape that supports the visuals. Working within Pro Tools, we balance dialogue, music, and sound effects, utilizing techniques like dynamic processing, EQ, and spatialization (including surround sound mixing) with plugins from Waves, iZotope, and Exponential Audio. Our studio’s acoustic treatment and monitoring systems ensure accurate monitoring for critical mixing decisions.

Sync Audio with Visuals

  • Precise audio synchronization with video is paramount in our post-production workflow. We utilize timecode and professional video playback systems within Pro Tools to ensure frame-accurate alignment of all audio elements with the visuals. Our meticulous attention to detail guarantees a seamless and professional viewing experience.

Foley Recording

  • Our dedicated Foley recording studio in Montréal allows us to capture nuanced and realistic sound effects that enhance the visual storytelling. We use a variety of surfaces and props, along with sensitive microphones like the Sennheiser MKH 416, to record footsteps, object interactions, and other subtle sounds that add depth and believability to your project, small details that make a large difference in the overall sound design.
